More Than Just a Coach - A Fellow Hunter
Born in Ohio, raised in the land of beer, cheese, and brats. I grew up in the driftless region of Wisconsin hunting whitetails; getting my first taste of mountain air in 2016 on a clinical rotation in Bonney Lake, WA.
I loved every minute of my time spent hiking, cycling, and driving in the mountains.
Fast forward to 2019, I took my first backpacking and western hunting trip in California.
In 2020, I killed my first black bear on a spot and stalk hunt in California. Two weeks later, I did my first ever elk hunt in Colorado. I packed 13 miles in with a buddy, listened to bugles across the mesa all day and night for a week. I was hooked without ever having an encounter.
The physical demand of these two trips developed into the creation of The Wilderness Fitness Institute.
